据报道，该空气动力汽车是由如下专利申请书 CN102720541A 所述的空气动力发电机所发的电驱动的。理想似乎很丰满，但现实很骨感！问题就在于示意图中的气泵（1）和空气增压泵（2）是由什么能源驱动的？根据权利要求第2项所述，“所述气泵（1）为直流电源供电的气泵”，但未提空气增压泵（2）是由什么能源驱动。简言之，该“空气动力发电”技术是用直流电驱动空气压缩机，然后用压缩空气驱动气缸里的动力输出杆作往复运动，从而驱动发电机发电。
