Thanks Steve for more interesting details about this classic movie and story. The Von Trapp family house in Vermont looks grand with strong European flavour in its architecture. It must be a memorable experience for you in that business-private-combined visit even though you didn't get to buy a souvenir for yourself.

I only managed to buy a pictorial book in Chinese which introduces the Salzburg site at the tourist shop near the entrance. I spent most of my time appreciating the different shooting spots and took my own pictures (which I showed one in my last post).
On a side note, I also noticed the three different translations for "Sound of Music" as follows:
国内： 音乐之声
香港： 仙樂飄飄處處聞
台灣： 真善美

... Brian Williams was a newscaster for WCBS, the CBS affiliate TV station that covered the NYC area. Once I heard him say on the air, out of nowhere and in all seriousness, that he got his good looks from his mom and dad - not a big deal, but man, I thought he was so full of himself.
Even then, for the past few years I still often tuned into "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams", the name of which is no-longer incidentally.

Yes, indeed. Incidentally, neither of them finished college. I think success and fame had gone to Brian's head. Really, who wants to listen to a serious network news anchor tell some fish stories?
