My understanding is that such things are only good for basic stuff like handling easy conversations with people who speak a language you don't understand at all. If you're a professional interpreter, this gadget won't help you: instead of doing your job of analyzing what the speaker is saying and coming up with adequate translations, you'll be listening to translations produced by a thing with no brain, comparing them with what you heard from the speaker, and trying to figure out how much you sh... ...but sometimes I have the feeling that those devices are responsible for a lot of patent translations I tried to study for research purposes.
