Hello,
Has anyone had experience with skillclusterportal.org? I couldn't find any information about them on the BlueBoard, and I'm unsure whether they are trustworthy.
would greatly appreciate hearing about your past experiences with this company. Thank you!

They're a company for people who seek employment, and not necessarily for professional LSPs.
Is it coincidence that their web developer's name is John Doe?

Their website is from the same source as https://callfix.ca which claims to be a platform for connecting clients with skilled contractors in areas like plumbing, electrical work, and household repairs. They have the same "clients" and the same made-up client reviews.
Many red flags so I would be cautious and assume that this it not legit.

I looked into the resources you all suggested, and it does appear to be a scam.
Thank you guys for your help. I appreciate it.

I received some messages from them as well that sounded very fishy: over-flattering, no questions asked, no details to the job offered in their initial messages. They even agreed to triple the word rate - so red flags all over. I would stay away.

They just posted a job https://www.proz.com/translation-jobs/2130715
I was just a click away from replying until I decided to look here.
The contact address on their website is identical to that of craftedfreelancers, who, I understand, have also been called out as suspicious. Has anyone actually dealt with them?

They seem to get addresses from everywhere. In my case, they said they got my details from the Swiss translators' and interpreters' association (ASTTI).
But as I already said: A client who is fine with tripling their rate without further discussion and without having seen any of my work is very suspicious...
It is a SCAM, NOT LEGIT | Nov 14 |
I'm one of their victims.
They just made me waste my precious time for nothing.

Hi everyone,
I have also been approached (today) by someone claiming to be "Human resources manager" of Skillcluster, with a skillclusterportal.org email address, following an ad posted on ProZ and that I had answered to 1 or 2 days ago.

Everything points to a scam very similar to one I was confronted to previously:
- I am proposed an inflated amount of money that does not correspond to my proposed rate or to the number of words initially advertised;
- the enthusiasm of the "manager" for my profile seems exaggerated;
- no agreement is to be signed, and so on...
It really smells bad, and the ad that had been posted on ProZ was actually suppressed by the administrator rather fast. ▲ Collapse
Contacted me via WhatsApp | Nov 15 |
Hi. They also contacted me via WhatsApp in response to one of the posts they published some days ago. They asked me to send my cv to sophiemathisen@skillclusterportal.org. It’s a very big scam.

They sent me a message on TM-Town and proposed over-average rates. In the email signature there wasn't the company name, phone number and so on. It's a scam for sure.

They are currently trying to scam me. 17,000 words for $7,000.
And ProZ has not yet banned them.
