Hello, I'm a competent French/Spanish to English translator with a strong background in subtitling. I am also a established writer, editor and proofreader.

I spent much of my early adult life living in Spain and France (French Polynesia, Paris, Reunion Island, Andalusia) which has provided me with excellent language skills. I am now based back at home in the UK.

I gained an MA in Screen Translation Studies from the University of Leeds, and wrote TV subtitles for Red Bee Media (now Ericsson) between 2007 and 2017. My work involved producing tidy and clear subtitles for a wide range of programmes for clients that include the BBC, Sky and Channel 4.

I have extensive writing and editing experience, having gained an NCTJ in Newspaper Journalism in London. I worked for one year on an expat newspaper on Spain's Costa del Sol. After that, my articles were published in the Telegraph, MailOnline, El Pais in English and in various magazines.

I also provide regular copywriting services for a number of commercial entities, with one client so pleased with my work that he flew me to New Zealand to work with him solidly for a fortnight.
