Source text - English Arbitrage Pricing of Bonds
Suppose that we are given the binomial tree of bond prices B(n,N;sn) for a bond maturing at the fixed time horizon N. In addition, we are given the money market process A(n;sn_i). As was mentioned in the introduction to this chapter, the prices of other bonds cannot be completely arbitrary. We shall show that the prices B{n, M; sn) for M < N can be replicated by means of bonds with maturity N and the money market. As a consequence of the No-Arbitrage Principle, the prices of B{n, M; sn) will have to be equal to the values of the corresponding replicating strategies.
Example 2
Consider the data in Example 1. At the first step the short rate is deterministic, being implied by the price B(0,1). The first two values of the money market account are A(0) = 1 and A(l) = 1.01. As the underlying instrument we take the bond maturing at time 3. The prices of this bond at time 0 and 1 are given in Figure 9, along with the prices of the bond maturing at time 2. We can find a portfolio (x, y), with x being the number of bonds of maturity 3, and y the position in the money market, such that the value of this portfolio matches the time 1 prices of the bond maturing at time 2. To this end we solve the following system of equations
0.9848x+ l.Oly = 0.9948, 0.9808x+ l.Oly = 0.9907,
obtaining x = 1 and y = 0.0098. The value of this portfolio at time 0 is 1 x B(0, 3) + 0.0098 x A(0) = 0.9824, which is not equal to B(0, 2).
The prices in Figure 9 provide an arbitrage opportunity:
• Sell a bond maturing at time 2 for $0.9828 and buy the portfolio for $0.9824.
• Whatever happens at time 1, the value of the portfolio will be sufficient to buy the bond back, the initial balance $0.0004 being the arbitrage profit.
Translation - Serbian Arbitražno određivanje cena obveznica
English to Serbian: HACCP food safety General field: Tech/Engineering Detailed field: Food & Drink
Source text - English The HACCP food safety team shall conduct a hazard analysis to identify hazards which need to be prevented, eliminated or reduced to acceptable levels. Consideration shall be given to the following as a minimum:
• likely occurrence of hazard
• severity of the effects on consumer safety
• vulnerability of those exposed
• survival and multiplication of micro-organisms of concern
• presence or production of toxins, chemicals or foreign bodies
• contamination of raw materials, intermediate/semi-processed product, or finished product
• potential for adulteration/deliberate contamination.
Determine the Critical Control Points(CCP) – Codex Alimentarius Step 7, Principle 2
For each hazard that requires control, control points shall be reviewed to identify those that are critical. This requires a logical approach and may be facilitated by use of a decision tree. CCPs shall be those control points which are required in order to prevent, eliminate or reduce a food safety hazard to acceptable levels. If a hazard is identified at a step where control is necessary for safety but the control does not exist, the product or process shall be modified at that step, or at an earlier or later step, to provide a control measure.
Establish Critical Limits for each Critical Control Point – Codex Alimentarius Step 8, Principle 3
For each CCP, the appropriate critical limits shall be defined in order to identify clearly if the process is in or out of control and if the identified acceptable level of the food safety hazard in the finished product is likely to be exceeded. Critical limits shall be measurable wherever possible (e.g. time, temperature, pH) and the rationale for their establishment clearly documented. The HACCP food safety team shall take into account relevant legislation or codes of practice when establishing critical limits.
Any critical limits based on subjective data (such as visual inspection) shall be supported by clear guidance or examples.
• opstanak i umnožavanje relevantnih mikroorganizama
