Source text - English Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to receive honorary degree from leading UK University
An honorary degree is to be presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Monday 15 May at the Chitralada Villa in Bangkok. The degree of Doctor of Laws will be awarded by the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, in recognition of Her Royal Highness's outstanding contribution to scholarship, to education and for her humanitarian work to help families and the handicapped.
The award is made in the 60th anniversary year of the reign of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It is also the Golden Jubilee year of the University of Exeter, which was established in 1955 by a Royal Charter awarded by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Exeter is one of the most popular and successful universities in the UK and has over 400 Thai alumni.
Professor Tim Niblock, Public Orator for the ceremony, said: 'Her Royal Highness's record of achievement is worthy of honour and respect. Her work and her life have enriched the global community as well as that of her own country. The University of Exeter is honoured to be able to give recognition to so massive a contribution.'
Her Majesty's Ambassador to Thailand, David Fall, said: 'The acceptance by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the conferment of a degree of Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) by the University of Exeter is not only a fitting tribute to Her Royal Highness' scholarship in various fields but also a symbol of the enduring and strengthening educational and academic links between the Kingdom of Thailand and the United Kingdom.'

Source text - English Many solutions have been proposed and used for the treatment and prevention of the spread of Breast Cancer and these treatments vary depending a number of factors:
• The stage of the tumour.
• The patient’s age, general health, and preferences.
• The patient’s menopausal status.
Some of these solutions include surgery, where a mastectomy or a lumpectomy is performed to remove the cancer cells from the body. This may be accompanied by radiation therapy as well as chemotherapy on the patient.
This cocktail of solutions have worked in many cases, and failed in others, thus no prescribed treatment is guaranteed to work perfectly.
A team of researchers at the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) have made an astounding discovery in the treatment of this condition. In their study, this staggering new cancer therapy destroyed cancerous tumours in just 11 days without chemotherapy. This was the first time a drug for this disease has shown such a response.

Source text - English New UK Student visitor visa
On 1 September 2007 a new Student Visitor Visa for the UK was introduced. This is an important and positive development for short term students but you need to know what it means for you.
For students who need a visa to enter the UK (visa nationals), to undertake a short course, the new Student Visitor visa will:
• cost GBP 63, the same as a visitor visa
• be issued normally for six months, even if students intend to take shorter courses
• not allow students to work
• not allow students to extend their stay in the UK beyond six months
• be issued only if students are enrolled at centres who appear on the The Register of Education and Training Providers
• need students to show they meet the visitor rules to enter the UK.
For students intending to stay less than six months who do not need prior entry clearance to enter the UK (non-visa nationals), they should ensure that they ask for the Student Visitor category at the airport or port where they enter the UK.
All students that are going to do a work placement as part of their course, or wish to work or possibly to extend their stay, will need to apply to the nearest British Diplomatic post abroad for a visa to enter the UK as a student, not as a Student Visitor. The full student visa costs GBP 99.
It will no longer be permitted for people who enter the UK after 1 September on a Visitor visa to study while they are in the UK.
