THIS EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT is made and entered into on [DATE] by and between the following parties:
(1) Ecolog International FZE, a company incorporated in the United Arab Emirates (registration number 714) whose registered office is at W38, Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority, PO Box 54464, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (we or us); and
(2) [EMPLOYEE], a national of [COUNTRY] with (passport number [#]) Born on [Birth Date] (you).
1. APPOINTMENT
1.1 Ecolog International FZE will employ you on the terms and conditions set out in this contract.
1.2 Your employment under this contract [started on / will start on] [DATE] and, subject to the terms of this contract, is fixed for the term of [PERIOD] continuing until [DATE] or until it is brought to an end by either you or us giving no less than [#] [week(s) / month(s)] notice. No period of employment with any previous employer counts as part of your period of continuous employment with us.
1.3 Your appointment and your continuing employment are at all times conditional upon you being permitted to work in [COUNTRY] and in accordance with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, enclosed to this contract, which is based on the standards of International Labor Organisation (ILO).
2. DUTIES
2.1 You will be employed as [JOB TITLE]. When the business requirements demand, we may move you into another capacity of work or position, subject to and in accordance with the terms of this contract.
2.2 When the business needs demand, you may be required to undertake alternative, additional or ancillary duties, whether in the contracted [COUNTRY] or another region, from time to time or be required to transfer to another part of the business.
2.3 Unless otherwise notified, you will report to [TITLE] (your Manager). We may from time to time change your Manager and you will be informed in advance.
2.4 During your employment you will:
2.4.1 Unless prevented by illness, injury, accident or during an authorised absence, devote your attention and skill during normal working hours to the carrying out of your duties under this contract. You will not be engaged in any activities which would conflict with the proper performance of your duties with Ecolog International FZE or those interests of the Group’s Companies.
2.4.2 Obey all lawful and reasonable directions or instructions from time to time given to you by your Manager or any other authorised person.
2.4.3 Comply with our company rules, regulations, policies and all applicable Quality and Safety policies in force.
2.4.4 Use your best endeavours to promote, develop and protect the, interests and reputation of Ecolog International FZE and those of any Group Company.
2.4.5 Not to use (or allow to be used) your knowledge of or connection with Ecolog International FZE or any Group Company with any of our customers or suppliers for any purpose other than our benefit and business purposes.
3. PROBATIONARY PERIOD
3.1 The first [#] [weeks / months] of your employment will be a probationary period (the Probationary Period), during which we will monitor your performance and conduct.
3.2 If we are not satisfied with your performance or conduct during the Probationary Period, we may, at our discretion, extend the Probationary Period by a period of up to a further [#] [weeks / months]. If so, you will receive confirmation of this extension. Reference to the Probationary Period in this contract includes any extension of it.
3.3 During the Probationary Period, we may end your employment by giving one (1) week’s written notice.
3.4 When you have completed your Probationary Period to our satisfaction, we will confirm your continued employment in writing.
4. HOURS OF WORK
4.1 Your working hours, including overtime, shall not exceed sixty (60) hours per week. Working hours may exceed sixty (60) hours per week only in exceptional circumstances as provided under the ETI Base Code.
4.2 You are eligible for a one (1) hour unpaid break each day, which must be agreed with your Manager in advance.
4.3 We may vary your working hours or the pattern of your normal hours, as we consider necessary to meet the needs of the business.
4.4 You are required to work such additional hours as we deem necessary for the proper performance of your duties. Terms of the total hours worked (including overtime) shall be in accordance with ETI Base Code.
5. SALARY
We will pay you a salary at the rate of United States Dollar [AMOUNT IN WORDS] (USD [#]) per month (the Salary), starting from the date you reported on the timesheet upon arrival to duty (including the arrival date but excluding the days in transit to the country of operation). This will be paid no later than the 15th of the following month to the bank account provided by Employee to us.
5.1 We will pay for the salary transfer charges but we are not responsible for any additional transfer charges nor delays due to incorrect bank details provided by you.
5.2 It is the responsibility of the Employee to ensure that they are tax compliant with all relevant tax authorities. If the authorities enact any kind of tax fee on the Employee’s salary and benefits, it is the responsibility of the Employee to ensure that they remain tax compliant towards any federal, state, local and other tax payments (including, without limitation, interest, fines and penalties) imposed under applicable law both within their home country, offshore and relating to the payments and benefits contemplated by this Employment Contract.
5.3 You authorise us to deduct any sums you owe to us at any time (to include, without limitation, the balance of any season ticket loan, salary, and repayment of pay for holiday taken in excess of your accrued entitlement) from your Salary and/or from any other sums due to you under this contract (to include, without limitation, any payment in lieu of notice, holiday pay or sick pay), at any time during your employment and/or when it ends.
5.4 We shall provide all necessary safety equipment to you and you are required to wear them appropriately during the normal working hours. When departing from the field, either on leave, expiry of this contract or termination, you are required to return all safety equipment to us. If you do not return the safety equipment, then we shall seek reimbursement of the safety equipment costs from you.
6. PLACE OF WORK AND MOBILITY
Your normal place of work will be at [LOCATION] but you agree to perform your duties in such other place or places as we may reasonably require from time to time.
6.1 You understand and accept that you may be exposed to security threats and/or dangers due to the nature of the work, the location of the workplace, and performance of this Employment Contract.
7. PAID AND EMERGENCY LEAVE
7.1 You will be entitled to [#] calendar days’ paid leave after each completed continuous service of [#] months. Paid leave days shall be calculated commencing the next day after you arrive at the point of origin.
7.2 You may be required to work on any statutory or public holidays at our absolute discretion, which we will consider to meet the needs of the business.
7.3 You may at the sole discretion of your Manager, carry forward your paid leave allowance, which must be used by the following holiday year. Leaves shall be paid on the basis of 2/3 of your monthly salary.
7.4 You must give your Manager not less than two weeks' written notice of your proposed paid leave dates. Your Manager must agree your paid leave dates in advance and may refuse a request having regard to the reasonable requirements of the business.
7.5 We reserve the right to require you to take paid leave on particular dates including during any notice period or garden leave. If so, you will be given reasonable notice.
7.6 You are entitled to use emergency unpaid leave during any family matter that requires your presence for a maximum of fourteen (14) days. All travel costs are to be covered by you. We will only cover travel expenses in case of the demise of your parents, sibling(s), spouse(s) and/or children.

3. KIPINDI CHA MAJARIBIO
3.1 [wiki / miezi] ya kwanza ya kuajiriwa itakuwa kipindi cha majaribio (Kipindi cha Majaribio), ambapo tutatahmini utendakazi na mienendo yako.

4.4 Unahitajika kufanya kazi katika muda huu wa ziada tunapokuhitaji kufanya hivyo kwa ajili utendajikazi bora . Sheria na Masharti ya jumla ya saa ulizofanya kazi (ikiwemo saa za ziada) yatazingatia sera ya Msingi ya ETI.
5. UJIRA

Ikiwa mamlaka ya kodi itamtoza Mfanyakazi ada yoyote kwenye ujira na faida, ni jukumu la Mfanyakazi kuhakikisha analipa kodi zozote za jimbo, nchi, eneo na kodi nyingine (inajumuisha, lakini sio tu, riba, faini na ada ya adhabu) inayotozwa kulingana na sheria husika nchini mwake, ukingo wa bahari na inayohusiana na malipo na faida inayotarajiwa na Mkataba huu wa Kazi.
5.3 Unatuidhinisha kuchukua deni yetu wakati wowote (inajumuisha, lakini sio tu, salio la mkopo wa stakabadhi wa msimu wowote, ujira na malipo ya pesa zaidi ya likizo ulizochukua kuliko unayostahiki) kutoka kwenye ujira wako na au kwa jumla ya pesa zozote unazostahiki kulingana na mkataba huu (inajumuisha, lakini sio tu, malipo yoyote unayopewa unapofutwa bila kuarifiwa mapema , malipo ya likizo au ya matibabu) wakati wowote wa kuajiriwa kwako na au inapoisha.
5.4 Tutakupa vifaa vyote vya usalama unazohitaji na utahitajika kuvivaa nyakati za kazi. Unapoondoka kazini, iwe unaenda mapumzikoni, mkataba huu unapoisha au unapokatishwa, unahitajika kuturudishia vifaa vyote vya usalama, kisha tutakutoza ada ya kurejesha vifaa vya usalama.
6. ENEO LA KAZI NA USAFIRI
Eneo lako rasmi la kazi litakuwa [ENEO] lakini unakubali kufanya kazi katika eneo au maeneo mengine kila unapohitajika kufanya hivyo.
6.1 Unaelewa na kukubaki kuwa huenda ukakumbwa na athari za kiusalama na au hali hatari kwa sababu ya aina ya kazi, eneo la kazi na utendakazi wa Mkataba huu wa Kazi.
7. MAPUMZIKO YA KULIPWA YA DHARURA
7.1 Utapewa mapumziko utakayolipwa ya siku [#] baada ya kukamilisha utendakazi mfululizo wa miezi [#] . Siku za mapumziko zitajumuishwa kuanzia siku inayofuata baada ya kuwasili katika eneo la kazi.
7.2 Huenda ukahitajika kufanya kazi siku za likizo za kitaifa kulingana na uamuzi wetu ili kukidhi mahitaji ya kazi.
7.3 Huenda ukahamisha marupurupu yako ya mapumziko kwa matumizi ya baadaye kutokana na uamuzi wa meneja wako ambayo sharti uitumie katika likizo ya mwaka unaofuata. Utalipwa malipo ya mapumziko ya 2/3 ya ujira wako.
7.4 Sharti umpe Meneja wako ilani isiyo chini ya wiki mbili ya tarehe yako ya kulipwa pesa ya mapumziko. Meneja wako sharti aidhinishe tarehe za kulipwa pesa ya mapumziko mapema na huenda akakataa ombi lako kulingana na mahitaji ya kazi.
7.5 Tuna haki ya kukuhitaji kuchukua mapumziko ya kulipwa katika tarehe maalum ikiwemo wakati wa ilani au mapumziko ya kujiuzulu. Ikiwa hivyo, utapewa ilani mapema.
7.6 Una uhuru wa kutumia mapumziko ya dharura usiyolipwa wakati wa tukio la kijamii ambalo linahitaji uwepo wako kwa muda usiozidi siku kumi na minne (14). Utaghramia gharama zote za safari. Tutagharamia ghrama za safari ikiwa tu umempoteza mzazi, ndugu, mke au mume na au mtoto wako.

09 March 2019 – The UN, tech giants, and the policy, finance and science communities today teamed up to launch major new pushes on using cutting-edge technology to create cleaner, greener and more efficient solutions to sustainable development.
Key figures from these sectors are joining civil society representatives in Nairobi at the second UN Science-Policy-Business Forum on the Environment, meeting for three days in advance of the fourth UN Environment Assembly.
The goal of the Forum is to unite influential organizations and individuals from different sectors in the common goal of using the environment sustainably for the benefit of all. This year, the Forum sees the launch of two major initiatives: the first international Working Group on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Convergence and the Green Technology Startup Hub.
“There is no doubt that rapid technological advancement played a major part in the troubles we face,” said Joyce Msuya, Acting Executive Director of UN Environment. “But it is that technology – through humanity’s ability to invent and innovate – that can help to save us. The Fourth Industrial Revolution offers a real opportunity to create cleaner, greener and more efficient solutions to sustainable development.”
The working group aims to build an open-source platform for big data on the environment, and to explore new spaces in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. It unites tech giants, Earth Observation institutions, the science and policy communities, green tech start-ups, citizen scientists and the worlds of finance and industry.
“We can’t ensure implementation of the 2030 Agenda without concrete data, which allows us to identify opportunities, ensure evidence-based decision making, direct investment and track progress,” said Siim Kiisler, President of the Assembly and Minister of Environment for Estonia. “I am confident that we will make immense progress.”
The Green Technology Startup Hub, meanwhile, will act as an accelerator and incubator of start-up innovation for the environment, as it examines the enabling policies and actions required to use such innovation to transform the world into greener and more sustainable living.
Startups are not only transforming markets and economic growth, some are helping to save the planet. Venture capital investment in startups has surged to its highest level ever – $148 billion last year alone. More than 40 Venture Capital-backed companies have achieved billion-dollar valuations
Other new work areas under the Forum will cover sustainable cities and food systems, and private sector leadership on climate change. Potential solutions under consideration include electric mobility and new green building designs, which can maximize efficient use of natural resources and encourage environmentally sound choices. These technologies are critical to our planet’s future, bearing in mind that an estimated 70 per cent of the human population will live in cities by 2050.

Tarehe 09 March 2019 – Mabingwa wa teknolojia, katika Umoja wa Mataifa,na jamii za sera, fedha na sayansi waliungana kuzindua misukumo mipya kuu kuhusu kutumia teknolojia muhimu kuunda suluhu safi, zinazolinda mazingira na faafu zaidi ili kufikia maendeleo endelevu.
Wakuu kutoka sekta hizi wanaungana na wawakilishi wa chama cha kiraia Jijini Nairobi katika Kikao cha Nne cha Mazingira ya Umoja wa Mataifa.
Lengo la Kongamano hili ni kuunganisha mashirika maarufu na watu kutoka sekta mbalimbali katika lengo moja la kutumia mazingira kwa uendelevu kwa manufaa ya kila mmoja. Mwaka huu, Kongamano hili linashuhudia uzinduzi wa mikakati miwili mikuu: Kundi la kwanza Linaloshughulikia Data Kubwa na Kuunganisha Akili isiyo Asilia na Kituo cha Biashara mpya ya Teknolojia Inayolinda Mazingira.
“Ni dhahiri kuwa kukua kwa teknolojia kwa kasi kulichangia pakubwa katika matatizo tunayokumbana nayo,” alisema Joyce Msuya, Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Baraza la Mazingira ya Umoja wa Mataifa. “Lakini ni teknolojia hii hii – kupitia kwa uwezo wa binadamu wa kuvumbua na kubuni – ndio inayoweza kutuokoa. Mapinduzi ya Nne ya Viwanda inatoa fursa wazi ya kuunda suluhu safi zaidi, zinazolinda mazingira na faafu zaidi kufikia maendeleo endelevu.”
Kundi linaloshughulikia suala hili linalenga kujenga jukwa chanzo huria la data kubwa katika mazingira, na kugundua nafasi mpya katika Akili Isiyo Asili na masomo ya kimtambo. Inaunganisha mabingwa wa teknolojia, Mashirika ya Kuchunguza Ardhi, jamii za sayansi na sera, biashara mpya za teknolojia zinazolinda mazingira, wanasayansi raia na ulimwengu wa fedha na viwanda.
“Hatuwezi kuhakikisha utekelezaji wa Agenda ya 2030 pasipo data madhubuti, inayotuwezesha kutambua fursa, kuhakikisha tumefanya uamuzi unaotegemea ithibati, uwekezaji wa moja kwa moja na ufuatilizi wa hatua,” alisema Siim Kiisler, Rais wa Baraza hili na Waziri wa Mazingira wa Nchi ya Estonia. “Nina uhakika kuwa tutafanya maendeleo makubwa.”
Kwa sasa Kituo cha Biashara za Teknolojia zinazolinda Mazingira, kitatumika kama kiongeza kasi na kiangulia cha ubunifu mpya wa mazingira, kinapochunguza sera na hatua zinazohitajika ili kutumia ubunifu huu kubadilisha ulimwengu kuwa na mazingira bora na kuwezesha maisha endelevu.
Biashara mpya hazibadilishi tu masoko na maendeleo kibiashara, zingine zinasaidia kuokoa sayari hii. Uwekezaji wa Mtaji katika biashara mpya umeongezeka na kufikia upeo wa juu zaidi wa – bilioni $148 mwaka jana pekee. Zaidi ya kampuni 40-Zinazotegemea Mtaji Kubwa zimefikia thamani ya dolla -bilioni
