Yes, I did. BTW, you just sort of gave away your political affiliation.
Yesterday I learned from the Google doodle that Yosemite National Park was established on Oct. 1, 1890.
Steve,
I were about to suggest you celebrate the next “triple October first ’ at Yosemite National Park; to make sure, I went to check out their web site the other day, and got the following message (remains the same as of now):
“Because of the federal government shutdown, all national parks are closed and National Park Service webpages are not operating.”
The idea has been revoked.
BTW, Steve, 我可是无党派人士。Mr. Carter is admired for his American values. I think he is an unusual genuine fine human being.
不敢写了,已经跑题了。
我在想这个歌楼有多高了,快接近Venus了吧?

Oh, I was just joking. Same here. My candidate seldom wins except for the last two elections.

QHE,
FYI, you can get your identity verified by using a credit card. All that's involved is a charge of $5. I think it's well worth it - it saves you the anxiety of awaiting the vetting of your posts.

Thanks, Steve. I normally click the Post and would forget about it for a while. It wasn't until one of my post appeared with hours of delay that I noticed the vetting. I thought I was in China , then thought I might have broken ProZ rules, and finally realized that I got what I've paid for as a non-paying member, no complain.
If I need real-time posting in the future I know what to do now, and I’ll try to drop my shoes together.

Down The Road ( My parents kept it for 70 years )
[Goin' Home the other version]
Down the road, down the road
On my way to home,
Tired and blue, weary too,
Never more to roam.
Friends of old, heart of gold,
Fill my memory,
No more fears, happy years,
Waiting there for me.
Down the road, down the road,
Gentle voices call,
And I guess happiness,
Calls me down the road.

Well, the little bee sucks the blossom
And the big bee gets the honey
Poor man picks the cotton
Allow the rich man gets the money
Walk and talk with Susie
Walk and talk with Susie
Walk and talk with Susie
Try to walk and talk with Susie
Well, I always wear a great big smile
Never do look sour
Travel all over the country

Miles and Miles of Texas (Asleep at the Wheel)
I was born in Louisiana down on the ole bayou
Raised on shrimp and catfish, mammies' good gumbo
I got the ramblin' fever, said goodbye to ma and pa
Crossed that ole Red River, but this is what I saw
I saw miles and miles of Texas
All the stars up in the sky
I saw miles and miles of Texas
Gonna live here till I die
I rode up into Austin the cradle of the west
Just ask any cowboy, he'll tell you it's the best
I met a Texas beauty, I got friendly with her pa
I looked into her big blue eyes, but this is what I saw
I started taming broncos, I made every rodeo
Until I met a tough one, you know his name, it was a Devil Joe
I grabbed hold of his bridle just to ride this ole outlaw
He threw me from the saddle, but this is what I saw ▲ Collapse
