I love House too! Would love it more if Dr House was more handsome! I like such medical shows. Another one is ER. I bought the first six seasons. Will continue with the others. Should be four more? Grey's Anatomy is another medical show. Don't really like that one because it is more on lovey-dovey stuff. And Meredith Grey is SUPER ANNOYING! Liked her at first for her dreamy eyes but now I find her very whiny.

Here are a few of my favs: Samantha Who, Prison Break, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Project Runway (more of a bimbo show), Queer as Folks, L-Word, 30 Rock, Coupling (UK), Heroes, and Secret Diary of a Call Girl (UK).

That was fun indeed. I have the "Yes, Prime Minister" DVD set, but never watched any of it. One of these days I might send for the "Yes, Minister" set also.


"Are You Being Served?", "Keeping Up Appearances", and "As Time Goes By" are pretty popular British comedies that get shown frequently here in the U.S.

Hmm, 现在还有 "信念剧" 这么一说呢. 搁我就啰嗦一点, 叫作 "培养人生基本价值观念的文艺作品" 了.

年前妹妹推荐 "历史的天空" 给我看. 题材应该是属于"信念剧"吧. 我看了两、三集就撂下了. 当时感觉开头不够引人入胜.

前一阵看 《前门楼子九丈九》 和 《大宅门》 倒都是一口气就看完了的. 大概是因为我比较喜欢看有 "丑角" 的东西. 我总是觉得这号人挺逗哏的 - 可谓悲中有喜

"Leave It to Beaver" is a delightful television comedy that came out in the late '50s. I remember catching a few episodes just before our family left for China. Kids learn everyday values from everyday life in a matter-of-factly subtle context that almost borders on subliminal, without resorting to the kind of heavy-handed moral lectures that want to bash one over the head - 又叫说教.

I personally think the show is just as relevant and refreshing as it was 50 years ago.

Now that television broadcasting is converting to DTV in the United States, they are actually airing some old shows like "Leave it to Beaver" on some TV channels again.

It tells the story of the plight of the Australian aborigines with the backdrop of the Japanese invasion during WWII.
