Ensuring quality translation in terms of consistency is one of the reasons why CAT tools were developed, so that is for sure. I'm just curious in what way using a CAT tool can make your translation more accurate.

In documents with series of numbers (parts lists, balance sheets, etc.), there's no need to copy the numbers. Some adjustment to decimals might be necessary, depending on the languages involved, but many CAT tools handle that process as well.

One of the features that I really like in my CAT tool is that I can highlight a word in any source segment and then open only those pairs of segments that include that particular word. A very easy way to make sure that all have been translated consistently
