Websites require maintenance, and maintenance sometimes calls for improvements or updates. This is not new, or exclusive to ProZ.com. Trust me, ProZ.com developers, as well as the entire site staff, take our jobs very seriously. We understand we serve members worldwide, 24/7, and we are committed to member success.
I'm truly sorry that the updates we are working on may be affecting some of our services and their performance, but we are doing all we can to fix this in the most effective way.

It's not a bug, but it would be great if comments or threads posted by non-paying members
would be published and therefore ranked according to their actual publication time after vetting,

I was able to reproduce the issue you mention, TargamaT team. I have asked developes to fix it.
As for email notifications, we are aware of the problem. A team of developers has been working to resolve it and should have news soon. I'll post back here as I get an update from them. Thanks for your patience.

Went to update the Software section.
Maybe should have smelt a rat when it was greyed out, but I clicked and got it active.
Used to have memoQ & Wordfast
Wanted to add Trados.
Clicked Add-> and then Save and update at the bottom of screen.
Now I have no Software at all.
Tried with Opera and Chrome, same result

Not to disagree with you, but I think it's worth considering that if the site didn't use ChatGPT, other people would, and doubtless be a lot less open about the source of their answer.
I get the points about it being a bit of gimmick and some of the answers being rubbish, but in a sense, they're damned if they do and damned if they don't. Just disagree with the rubbish answers, and it is a public comment on ChatGPT's quality for others to learn from.
