Hi,
I am sure with AI one can solve the following problem:
I got two files from my customer: a subtitle file with timecodes and a translation document without timecodes. Is there an AI or a software that can put in timecodes in that translation so that it is synchronized with the original subtitles/voices? Of course, I can import the translation into EZTitles and split it into subtitles, but it's not synchronized. Maybe somebody knows an easy way to solve the problem.
Thank you... See more

Hi Heike,
You don't specify whether you have the video. If you do, I'd import the source file, open the video, empty the source subs and translate from the video. If you don't (which is not a situation I've ever been faced with), you could write your translation over the original subs, which would allow you to check line breaks and reading times as you go.
HTH!

I would have thought the same: replace the EN copy with the provided translation, then - mandatory - check how the subs match what's in the video, and make changes where needed.

Yes, I got the video. And if you got a ready translation, it should be possible for AI to split it into subtitles as AI also can translate.
