I would like to know how to translate Deroga in english? is it "waiver" or "exemption"? the document i am translating is a contract.

disagree James (Jim) Davis : I think a more precise translation of waiver is "rinuncia" because it is there but you don't have to apply it, while a deroga, is something remove, something excepted. OK the point is pretty academic, I'll agree.

in this context (although more would be helpful) it sounds like variations to the terms of the agreement, or "departure from the provisions of" the agreement.
