Discussion

Werner Maurer Jan 5, 2015:
triune In English we usually just say the triune God - His oneness is as clearly implied in the word triune as is His "three-ness". You could say the triune and only God, on the supposition that the original intended to say, or should have said, único in place of uno - which would be more grammatically correct at any rate. "Uno" (sic) is never an adjective.
Taña Dalglish Jan 4, 2015:
@ panervo "El Dios trino y uno" not "triuno". http://ag.org/enrichmentjournal_sp/200504/200504_124_Communi...
La dimensión más fundamental de este asunto no ha sido mencionada. Realmente, la naturaleza esencial de la iglesia como una comunidad genuina surge del carácter de Dios y la conexión al **Dios trino y uno** que los cristianos comparten.

Hence, taking all the Scriptures into account, orthodox Christian theology has always affirmed that the one true God is triune in nature—three co-equal and co-eternal persons in the Godhead.
ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY HAS ALWAYS AFFIRMED THAT THE ONE TRUE GOD IS TRIUNE IN NATURE.
This triune God (or Trinity) began to allude to this aspect of His nature right in Genesis 1:26–27.

the Holy Trinity

It would be a great help to have some context, as this could be put in several ways!
Peer comment(s):

agree Emma Cox : I also agree! I would have said the Holy Trinity first actually, but "One God in three persons" does appear in the catechism too. It depends on the actual text I think!

Thanks, Emma. I guess that is the more modern version. Happy 2015.
