I want to gain as much experience and knowledge of the industry as quickly as I can. I understand that some tasks required of me may not align with what I desire, but that too is experience that I need to learn. I would appreciate opportunities for me to translate documents and tasks that push my comfort zone. I am always willing to learn and enjoy the working experience.

I expect the internship will give me feedback for my translations and teach me the industry standards for translation.

I would be interested in undertaking an internship during the long semester break (November to February) in order to gain insight into how language service providers operate and what skills I will need to build to start getting work after graduation. I am living between Japan and Australia (both similar time zones) so am able to assist with translations in different time zones (UK or US for example). Ideally, I would like to work towards working as a freelance Japanese-English translator.

I would like to become an intern at an established and respected company where I can receive guidance which helps me grow as a professional translator. Ideally after completing the internship I'd like to get a full time or part time job at the company.

I don't have a specific type of interniship I want, all I hope is to gain some experience at translating, learn some techniques to translate and also experience a work enviroment either at home or on site with the internship since I don't have any job experience. I hope this experience pushes me to getting more job opportunities in the future since it is difficult to get jobs as an unexperienced translator.
