I am looking to gain an insight into the working practices of a translation firm, where I can more accurately realise the life of the professional translators that work there. I would further relish an opportunity to enhance my translation skills, in which I may also immerse myself in both in the language and culture. Pursuing multiple foreign languages, engaging in University life to the fullest extent, I have developed a useful skill set. I am a highly dependable, passionate individual.

My main goal is to continue learning about the world of translation, gaining experience, and meeting professionals who will influence my journey and development as a translator.

During an internship I would like to have personal contact with experienced language specialists, including coaching or mentorship. I hope to learn more about the best practices in the field of language services, how to work with the most common tools, and what to expect as a professional language service provider. I will probably ask many questions and hope this is not perceived as annoying or too time-consuming. I also expect to get extensive feedback on my work in order to get better.

I am interested in an internship that can provide me with the experience needed to work as a professional translator. I am available in the evenings and on weekends. My plans as a linguist are to become a professional translator. I am interested mostly in literary translations, localization, and video games, but I would welcome other specializations.

The ideal internship is one in which I am learning technical aspects of the translation business and have the chance to use different software tools. Ideally, I would like to learn how to manage translation projects, both individually and in teams, and get actual, hands-on experience in translating itself. I believe this would boost my confidence and also give me the tools to work as a freelancer in the future.
