I used to translate English subtitles into Malay language. I translate them to 'how it supposed to sound' in Malay, not 'robotically' into Malay.

Also, I used to time coding process- as the available English subtitles are usually short coded time. Great and sufficient timing is super important for me.

Checking/editing/QC subtitle also is a routine for me. As I ALWAYS QC my translated subtitle to ensure i don't get the wrong meaning of translation and got a nice perfect timing.
