Experience
Years of experience: 26. Registered at ProZ.com: Apr 2005. Became a member: Dec 2006.
I am specialized in pharma, veterinary, and medical translations, as well as military, software, subtitling, and video games.
I have 20 years of experience as a freelance translator and subtitler, and over a year as an in-house translator and QA tester. I also worked as a clinical researcher at University College Dublin (virology). I translate Covid-19 related materials daily. I translate all kinds of medical texts, clinical studies, textbooks related to science, biology, music, particularly guitar, as well as movie scripts, subtitles, video games OST and dialogues.
I lived in Canada for three years and in Ireland for another three, and this gave me the opportunity to gain a deeper knowledge of the medical language as well as of American and British conversational English and slang.
I work for several agencies and publishing houses (SDL International, Microsoft, Transperfect, SDI Media, Elsevier, to name a few) and I worked as an in-house translator for Disney Interactive in Canada and SDL International in Ireland.
I have a very high turnout, I am fast and reliable, and always available for new projects.
My fees can vary according to the type of project, and are open for discussion.
