I am a native Swede residing in Madrid, who has been working as a full-time freelance translator since 2009. I have a rather technical profile with two different university degrees, I hold both a Master's degree in Architecture and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I also have professional experience from developing software systems, graphic design, programming, technical drawing, urban planning, architectural design and construction for the building industry.
I work mainly in my three areas of specialization: IT, Construction and Engineering, where I have an extensive experience from translating technical documents such as manuals, catalogues, drawings, websites, software, data sheets, technical specifications and so forth.
My main CAT tool is memoQ and I consider myself an advanced user, but I also frequently use SDL Trados Studio and can switch between them indistinctively and convert any file formats as needed. And I am just as comfortable translating for the Windows PC environment as for Apple Mac computers or a iOS iPhone/iPad.
If you need a small translation team for a large project, or a translator-proofreader duo, I often collaborate with my colleague Johan Kjällman. We have developed a similar style and are able to keep the translations coherent through close collaboration. We can also bring in more collaborators for very large projects and share resources in real-time through memoQ Cloud Server.
I consider myself a thorough person and take pride in delivering a high quality end product, making extensive use of external references and resources with a fixed QA process.
