I was born and grew up in the UK, obtaining a BA in Modern Languages at Oxford and later a Masters in Contemporary German Studies at the University of West London. After working for several years as a teacher and middle manager in education, partly in the UK but mostly in Germany, I became a full-time freelance translator in 2005. Since then I have established a reputation for my high-quality translations of demanding texts on a range of subjects, largely in the corporate and academic field, but I have also established a successful basis in areas such as intellectual property.
