My name is Marianna, I am an ENGLISH into native GERMAN translator, proofreader, editor, and game tester working in video game localization since 2004.

I am currently based in Boston, Massachusetts, and am always happy to extend my professional network and my client base.

SPECIALTIES:

★VIDEO GAME LOCALIZATION
I have been working in this field for 11+ years and have been a gamer since I was about 8. These days, I am very much interested in game development as well and would like to learn some programing soon.

★TRAVELS
As a passionate traveler, I know what a traveler wants and needs and how to make travel articles, brochures, hotel descriptions etc. sound enticing while being truthful to the facts.

★RESTAURANT MENUS
Both of my parents are chefs, and I myself have owned an Italian restaurant for several years. I basically grew up in kitchens and started to correct menus as soon as I learned how to read.

★PSYCHOLOGY
When I was young I wanted to be a psychologist. After my language studies and while working for Nintendo, I ended up studying counseling for about 3 years taking evening classes. Due to my knowledge of both psychology and English-German translation, I am in the special position of being able to professionally translate texts related to the field of psychology.

★ONLINE MARKETING
I cannot claim to be an expert in this field yet, but I am currently learning as much as possible, and I am about to start an in-house course, yay!
