Source text - English When they come on in the middle of my TV shows, I go and fold some laundry, finish the dinner dishes or make a pit stop. When they weigh down my newspaper with huge inserts and sections of their own, I throw away those pages. If I’m listening to the radio, I just flip stations when they start.
You know what I mean, right? It’s the ads, the commercials, the 24/7 selling mania. It’s sponsor surround-sound.
And my personal computer? It’s not very personal since advertisers can invade it without my knowledge or permission. There are ads on my homepage, ads block the screen when I’m reading something, ads redirect me to somewhere I never wanted to go. If I so much as look at an ad, my social media pages tell the world I “like” that product! Ads are totally in charge.

और मेरा व्यक्तिगत कंप्यूटर? यह उतना व्यंक्तिगत भी नहीं रह गया है चूंकि विज्ञापनकर्ता मेरी जानकारी और आज्ञा के बिना इसमें घुसपैठ कर सकते हैं। मेरे होमपेज पर विज्ञापनों की भरमार होती है, जब मैं कुछ पढ़ रही होती हूँ तो वे स्क्रीन पर आ धमकते है और मेरी पढ़ाई में बाधा डाल देते हैं, विज्ञापन मनमाने तरीके से मुझे उन पेजों की ओर ले जाते हैं जहाँ मैं कभी भी जाना नहीं चाहती हूँ। अगर मैं किसी विज्ञापन पर केवल नज़र भर दौड़ाती हूँ तो सोशल मीडिया उसे पूरी दुनिया के सामने ऐसे प्रस्तुत करता है जैसे कि मैंने उस प्रोडक्ट़ को ‘‘लाइक’’ किया है! कहा जा सकता है विज्ञापनों का बोलबाला है।
