Bio

I've dabbled in translation here and there for over 10 years and I'm ready to start back up into it after taking a break to focus on full-time work and children.  I'm looking to move from my full-time role and work as a freelance translator.  

I grew up bi-lingual with German and English as my main languages - we spoke only German at home and spoke English out and about with friends and at school.  Growing up we also spent many summers travelling to Germany to visit my family.  In college I spent one year studying there.  I continue to be bilingual and have a strong grasp of both languages.  I am also raising my children to be bilingual.  Being in the United States, translating from German to English comes easier to me; however, I am able to translate English to German as well.  

As I stated above, I dabbled in translation from both German to English and English to German.  I've translated shorter texts, historical texts, and whole websites.  I'm looking to make translation a more regular type of income in hopes of being able to help support my family from home.
