It is never too late to work with me!
Hello ! I am Ines Mokdadi. I am an English teacher at ISAEG, a Business university in Tunisia, and a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Alumna at the University of Notre Dame. I work currently as an Independent Translator at Universal Translation Services.
First and foremost, my interest in languages and cultural exchange made me choose the English language as a field of study. This inclination shows best in my journey as a Fulbright Arabic FLTA in the United States. Having spent three years in freelance translation along with teaching Arabic to Notre Dame students, I am now more aware than ever of the importance of the cultural component in either tightening or loosening international ties. The work of a translator/interpreter strives for building bridges of communication. You know that not all idioms or jokes travel well, and this is where the fun begins in teaching. As a Fulbright scholar, I am combining my expertise in teaching and translation not only to teach Arabic but also to make my students aware of the necessity to open up to the cultural underpinnings of the target language.
