Source text - English A Carbon Footprint is the measure of the impact of human activities on the environment in terms of tonnage of carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by an organization, product or individual.
Both carbon positive and carbon negative events have an impact on the overall greenhouse effect. Ideally, the goal is to become carbon neutral.
For many companies, the path to a smaller Carbon Footprint requires a combination of compensating for CO2 emissions through investments in carbon sequestration (planting cork forests, for example) and adopting carbon emissions prevention technologies that improve the efficiency of business transactions.
