Leveraging an Industrial Engineering background from my Master's and Bachelor's degrees in US, I transitioned to Kia Motors and General Motors in Korea. Dealing with international companies triggered my passion for language localization and translation.
Driven to expand my horizons, I pursued an MBA and PhD in Management and Business Strategy from Yonsei University and Korea University, respectively – two of Korea's top universities, which provided a strategic lens for navigating complex global landscapes.
For the past decade, I have empowered startups and mid-sized companies, particularly in IT and manufacturing industries, to enter into the foreign markets. This journey also led me to explore startup investment and M&A.
Some of my achievement in localization includes; helping a startup pitching contents to win the grand prize in the CES Innovation and signed the purchase contracts; Increasing the customer satisfaction by offering the correct localization of the maintenance manual, etc.
This unique blend of industrial engineering & business expertise and localization fluency allows me to bridge the gap between different cultures and languages in the business world. |
