Source text - English Anchors are the components that let a parser hook into specific locations in a source document, for the purpose of finding data and storing it in data holders. An anchor is a signpost that you place in a document, indicating the position of the data.
This chapter explains the different types of anchors and how you can use them in parsers.
Marker and Content Anchors
The most commonly used anchors are called Marker and Content anchors. These anchors are often used as a pair: a Marker anchor labels a location in a document, and a Content anchor retrieves text from the location
To understand these anchors, imagine a printed questionnaire. The first line typically asks for the person's last name and first name, with each label followed by a blank space to receive the information. In ContentMaster terminology, the printed labels Last Name and First Name are Marker anchors, and the blank spaces are Content anchors. The anchors provide a means to home in on the data, for the purpose of extracting it from the source document.
Other Anchor Types
In addition to marker and content anchors, ContentMaster provides many other anchor types, which you can use to parse documents in different ways. For example, Group and RepeatingGroup anchors help you specify the organization of the data fields. An Alternatives anchor lets you specify multiple kinds of data that might occur at a particular location in a source document.
Pseudo-Anchors
In addition to the regular anchors, there are some pseudo-anchors, which do not specify any location in the source document. The pseudo-anchors perform operations such as opening and closing database connections.
Pseudo-anchors are anchors in the sense that you can define them in the anchors list of a parser. The parser performs the pseudo-anchor operations in the sequence that it processes the anchors.

Marqueurs et Ancres de Contenu
Les ancres les plus communément utilisées sont les Marqueurs et les Ancres de Contenu. Ces ancres sont souvent utilisées en paires : l’ancre Marqueur étiquette un emplacement du document, tandis que l’Ancre de Contenu extrait le texte à cet emplacement.
Pour comprendre cette notion d’ancres, imaginez un questionnaire imprimé. En général, la première ligne demande les nom et prénom de la personne, chaque label étant suivi d’un espace blanc destiné à recevoir l’information. Dans la terminologie ContentMaster, les labels imprimés Nom et Prénom sont des ancres Marqueur, et les espaces blancs sont des ancres de Contenu. Autres types d’Ancres
