Tokyo based Consecutive Interpreter, English <> Japanese, October 29 - 31

Position: Consecutive Interpreter (English<>Japanese)
Industry: Storage Industry
Location: Yurakucho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan
Dates: October 29, 30, and 31, 2024

Requirements:
• Location: Candidate must be based in Tokyo.
• Experience:
1. Extensive experience in consecutive interpreting,
2. Background in related technical areas (storage industry or similar),
3. Familiarity with the client and their products (e.g., experience translating datasheets). Candidate will be provided with learning materials.

Additional Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Flexibility and willingness to support both employees and customers during the event.
• Ability to handle both English-to-Japanese and Japanese-to-English interpreting.
• Must be available for a 30-minute pre-call in English, with no charge, to introduce themselves and understand the project.

Additional Information:
• Location: The event will take place around 東京都千代田区有楽町１丁目
• Transportation & Accommodation: The client will not provide transportation or accommodation.
• Pre-Call Requirement: A 30-minute pre-call in English is required for a self-introduction and event briefing.

Schedule & Compensation:
• October 29 (Tuesday):
o Option 1: $800 full day for 1 interpreter
o Option 2: $400 per interpreter per half-day slot
• October 30 (Wednesday) & October 31 (Thursday): $600 per day for 1 interpreter
