Full-Time Persian Language Owner for Crypto Exchange

Job Title: Persian Language Owner
Department: LCD - Localization

Reports To: Head of Localization

Position Summary: The Persian Language Owner will be responsible for managing and overseeing all Persian-language content across the company. This role involves translating content from English to Persian, ensuring cultural appropriateness, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be a native Persian speaker with high English proficiency, with a strong understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural context in the Persian crypto space.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Management:
o Take full ownership of all Persian-language content across the company, particularly our website, app, and trading functions.
o Ensure all Persian-language content aligns with the company’s brand voice and messaging.
o Maintain consistency in terminology and style across all platforms and documents.
2. Translation and Localization:
o Translate content from English to Persian, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
o Adapt content to suit the Persian market while maintaining the original message and tone.
o Review and edit translated content for quality and accuracy.
3. Quality Assurance:
o Conduct thorough quality checks on all Persian-language content.
o Identify and correct linguistic errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
o Collaborate with other departments to ensure the highest quality of translated content.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with the head of localization, business development personnel, product and operations managers, and other stakeholders to understand content requirements.
o Provide linguistic and cultural insights to enhance content effectiveness.
o Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
• Native proficiency in Persian and fluency in English.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a professional translator.
• Proficiency and experience with localization workflows, including translation memories, termbase management, and TMS platforms.
• Strong understanding of Persian culture and market preferences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a similar role within the crypto or finance sector.
• 3+ years’ experience as a client-side in-house linguist.
• Prior experience translating in the CrowdIn translation management system.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders in Chinese.
• Ability to translate from Chinese to your target language.
