If you have experience in machine translation post-editing (MTPE) and you’re proficient in memoQ, this will be a great opportunity for you! Tasks Project Details: Task: Monolingual text review of machine translation output (target text review and terminology verification/application) following detailed review guidelines for formal checks (terminology consistency, tag verification etc.) Language Pair: English (US) -> Japanese (JP) Text Type: Documentation Subject Matter: ERP and Consumer IT Volume: 150,000 – 200,000 words per linguist over a timeframe of 6 weeks with a throughput of 900 words/h. It thus requires an availability of around 25-30h per week (higher volumes are also available, if you like). Timeframe: start date September 26th, delivery date November 07th with partial deliveries every week. CAT Tool: memoQ You will be working with a project manager based in the CET time zone A short test will be required before onboarding (24 hours to complete) Requirements 2+ years of professional experience as a Japanese linguist Machine translation post-editing experience (including term verification using term bases and tag handling) Solid memoQ translation memory tool experience Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions Responsiveness and receptiveness to feedback Ability to collaborate in a team with multiple linguists and following strict deadlines If you’re ready to take on this challenging and rewarding project, we’d love to hear from you!
