Source text - German Wassergekühlter Schrägrost
Eine höhere Effizienz der Feststoffverbrennungs-anlage fordert heutzutage zunehmend Roste die eine sehr hohe Temperaturbeständigkeit aufweisen. Brennstoffe mit hohen Heizwerten führen zu starken steigenden Temperaturen die im Stahlgefüge des Rostsystems zu dauerhaften Beschädigungen führen können.
Als All-In-One-Solution bieten wir mit dem wassergekühlten Schrägrost ein eigenes Rostsystem an. Die Neigung des Rostes entspricht dabei dem Schüttwinkel des Brennmaterials bzw. dem der Asche, wodurch sich der Brennstoff auf dem Rost durch die Schwerkraft selbst transportiert.
In wassergekühlten Rosten sind die Rostplatten innen mit Hohlräumen versehen um dauerhaft Wasser entlang der thermisch belasteten Rostoberfläche zu führen, damit wird die Temperaturbeständigkeit des Rostes erhöht und die Anfälligkeit für Beschädigungen gemindert.
Durch die Wasserkühlung unterliegt der Kühlprozess somit einem ständigen Kreislauf der separat von der Primärluft verläuft und regulierbar ist.
Die dem System entzogene Wärme kann für die Primärlufterwärmung zur optimalen Energie-Nutzung verwendet werden oder der Dampferzeugung dienen.
Bei Temperaturspitzen von 1600°C – 1800°C kann der Verschleiß des Rostsystems auf ein Minimum beschränkt werden.
Ein vollständiger Ausbrand der Brennstoff-Schicht durch Steigerung der Temperatur-Bereiche verbessert den Wirkungsgrad der Feststoffverbrennungsanlage.
Der Wassergekühlte Schrägrost ist in Einsatz und Brennstoffwahl universell einsetzbar.
Es sind nahezu alle Holzarten und andere Biomassen für die Energiegewinnung nutzbar.
Die Leistungsbereiche der Stromerzeugung liegen zwischen 10 - 50 MW. Ein Brennstoffwechsel ist möglich, da ein Lastwechsel von dem System ohne Probleme ausgeglichen wird.
Das Spektrum der eingesetzten Brennstoffe beinhaltet Holz, Holzabfälle, Hackholz, Torf, Rinde, Stroh, Bagasse, Olivenreste, Palmenfasern, Nussschalen.
Durch unsere langjährige Erfahrung im Bereich der Biomasseverbrennung steht ihnen ein kompetenter Partner für die Planung, Auslegung sowie Betrieb und Sanierung von biomassegefeuerter Anlagen zur Verfügung.

Nowadays a higher efficiency of solid combustion systems increasingly demands grates with very high temperature stability. Fuels with high calorific values lead to strong, rising temperatures in the steel structure of the grate firing system which can lead to lasting damages.
We offer the water-cooled inclined grate in combination with our own grate system as an all-in-one-solution. The inclination of the grate corresponds to the repose angle of the fuel material or that of the ash, so that the fuel on the grate is conveyed by gravitation itself.
In water-cooled grates the grate covering is hollow to permanently lead water along the thermally loaded grate surface, thus the temperature stability of the grate increases and the susceptibility to damages decreases.
Due to water cooling the cooling process is subject to perpetual circulation running separate of the primary air and can thus be regulated.
The heat drawn from the system can be used to heat the primary air to an optimum of energy utilization or serve for steam generation.
At temperature peaks of 1600°C – 1800°C the scuffing of the grate system can be reduced to a minimum.
A complete burnout of the fuel bed due to an increase of temperature levels improves the efficiency factor of the solid material combustor.

I have been translating for two engineering firms (www.eckrohrkessel.com & www.lamont-services.com) for the past ten years. They specialize in industrial boiler construction and power solutions. This way I gathered experience translating texts on boilers and other power related machinery (eg. grates, HVACR, marine engineering) as well as business correspondence and legal documents.
I since have become a full-time freelancer and improved my Italian, so that now I also work from Italian to German. I gathered experience in that language and in my specialization while working as in-house translator on a special project in Italy for a manufacturer of ORC turbogenerators (turboden.eu).
Most recently, I have gone back to freelancing after working in-house for SDL for two years. I was in technical teams there, gathering experience in a wider range of engineering as well as several online and stand alone CAT tools.
I now also work as a freelance photographer, trying to make my hobby into a profession. I will exhibit my work for the first time in Autumn 2022.
