I was born in Quimper, Brittany in 1983. My family is multicultural, with people from Wales, Brittany, the North of France. I speak English, Breton and French with my family members.
Education
I started out my education in the Diwan school system, an alternative education system based on immersion into the Breton language. French and English lessons were introduced in primary school, and I moved on to learning German in the 6th grade and Spanish in the 8th grade.
Immersive learning I spent every summer in Wales until I was old enough for a family exchange. I then spent the summers with a German family in Minden, Westfalen, while their children spent the a school year at my parent's attending French school.
University
I started university in Köln, Germany, studying law, but then moved on to the Fachhochschule in Wilhelsmhaven to study tourism. Due to personal reasons, I had to return to France, so I applied to Université de Strasbourg where I obtained a bachelor's in applied laguages and a first year master's in european plurilingualism and interculturality.
Translating
While at university, I discovered my gift for translation thanks to an excellent colleague who recruited my help as she was studying while working full-time as a technical translator. Through her patient coaching and encouragement, I started my first registered translation business in 2012.
And now...
I now live in Türkiye with my family, where I have continued studying languages and have a registered business in Kuyucak. My goal is to become a superpolyglot before I retire.
