Swedish term

handelspost

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
I know what it is, but I cannot find the correct English term.

Context: a company has encouraged its shareholders to rearrange their holdings so that each holding is a multiple number of 'handelspost' - the standard minimum quantity of shares traded on the stock market, say 500 shares.

If you are dealing in one handelspost, or a multiple of such, transaction charges are lower than if you deal in miscellaneous inbetween amounts, say 499.

Something like 'standard tradeable quantities'. But the official name?

round lot

This is called a round lot in trading dialet. Odd lot is anything less than a round lot (börspost or handelspost). Absolutely correct that trading fees are more if you deal with anything smaller than a round lot, since these land up in the odd-lot orderbook with different trading rules.
The size of a round lot differs for each orderbook on an exchange.

I've included a link to what I consider the best financial dictionary for trading terms available on-line.

agree Charlesp : yes, and the opposite would be "odd lot" (ie less than the standard amount, in the US 100 shares)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Two very helpful answers that solved my translation problem - I am grateful to both. Now I am faced with the invidious problem of choosing the most helpful. Larissa's answer was marginally more helpful because of the glossary. But Sven gave 2 good translation, not one. By the thinnest of margins, I select this answer, but still wish I could share the points."
