Please help with the translation of the sentence. It has not been translated from Swedish into English initially and now I am stuck to translate it from English into Russian. I have no availability to Swedish dictionary right now.
The whole sentence is: "Check if the shaft is cleaned properly. Loda upp och placera shims mellan sockeln och motorn om det är nödvändigt "

Make plumb
To 'loda upp' is to use a plumb bob or other digital instrument to make sure equipment such as the shaft you are wrtiting about is placed straight and true, that is not askew nor at an angle.
I would use the word 'plinth' for 'sockel' as basement isn't the correct term.
So your sentence could read something like this:
Make plumb and place shims between plinth and engine if necessary.

Sorry that should of course be writing, not wrtiting..
