I am a professional freelance translator, full member (with Chartered Linguist status) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL CL), certified member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (MITI), and full member of the Society of Authors (and consequently also its Translators Association), with 16+ years'​ experience in running my own business and translating texts from French, German and Spanish into English. I have worked for numerous reputable clients, and had many works published in books (see "Publications" section below), brochures, documentaries and websites. As part of my further professional development, I have attended translation seminars at the London Book Fair and London Language Show Live. I have additionally been invited to speak as a guest on a panel of expert translators at an AUSIT workshop in my hometown of Perth, and conduct a Q&A session on translation with 3rd-year German language students at the University of Western Australia.
