Bio
My name is Elisa Caligiana and I graduated with Honours in March 2010 in Literary and Technical Translation from English and Russian into Italian at the Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators (University of Bologna). Since 2008 I have been working as a professional translator from English and Russian into Italian for several publishing houses and other private clients. I am specialised in literary translation (children's books, urban fantasies, health and wellness books), marketing, fashion and arts, patents and engineering. I love languages and simply adore translating and travelling. I've always known I was going to work with languages, ever since I was in primary school and fell in love with the English language at the age of six. I once met a little girl on a bus who spoke both Swahili and English with her mother and talked to me in Italian: I was simply fascinated (and a little jealous). I like meeting people with different backgrounds and discovering new places, food and sports.
