As a translator I never stop learning - that is what makes translation challenging and exciting. It is an ongoing process and the more one practices, the better one becomes. My services are restricted to german-english translation in the fields listed in my profile on Proz.com.
My knowledge of German I gained while living in Germany for 10 years between 1998 and 2009. While learning german I worked as a freelance English teacher doing english conversation and basic business english courses for private individuals. I also earned a diploma as a Media Designer for Digital Media (Mediengestalter für Digital Medien). After I had learned enough German I started working as a technical writer for a software company. The documentation department consisted of myself documenting new developments for 10 programmers using the very powerful LaTEX programme. After a year of intense pressure I left to become director of a company importing bamboo flooring and massage equipment to Germany. There I put my knowledge of internet marketing to the test. I also honed my skills in website optimisation for Google and other search engines. I decided to return to my country of birth in 2009 and start a translation service.
