Source text - English Users are responsible for the protection of the SI-IT assets and for carrying out their activities in compliance with all the security policies and standards in effect.
Protection of SI-IT assets includes:
• Controlling the information by :
o Limiting the access to our clients’ confidential material ;
o Getting client authorization to use and copy client confidential material ;
o Making sure the information classified as restricted or confidential, such as identifiable personal information, is protected by use of encryption (i.e. password protected .zip or .pdf files) ;
o Where applicable, before sending out files or messages containing client confidential information, users must encrypt the files or messages using an encryption program approved by the client ;
o Limiting the amount of data stored on portable devices (portable computer, USB key, etc.) and deleting the data when it is no longer needed. Furthermore, ensuring that client confidential information is protected on the portable devices with the use of an encryption program approved by CNTRX.
