AUDIOVISUAL (SUBTITLING)
I am a second-generationAudiovisual Translator: since my childhood, I have been watching and learning how the subtitling, translation of subtitles, voice-over, closed captioning and dubbing are done by my mother, a professional translator, too. I spent many days and hours with voice-over actors doing voice-over for series, movies, and promos from English, French, Spanish to Russian. Therefore, I know the industry from inside out and I am familiar with the full business cycle in the AVT industry.
In 2011, I passed the screenwriting course and wrote three movie scripts myself, hence I know how the scripts are to be written, too.
I am seasoned and professionally trained for subtitling and translation of subtitles. I mainly work with the vendors for Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC, and various Russian channels. I have a deep working knowledge of subtitling guidelines for Russian subs.
For the past 12 years, I have collected a very extensive portfolio of subtitling work, available upon request.
Software I used over the years: Aegisub, Subtitle Edit, WinCAPS, EZTitles, Subtitle Workshop. Now it is more on the streaming platforms like Netflix, Ooona, client platforms, etc.
I also passed various training sessions from Netflix vendors, internal training from Russian audiovisual companies.
My profile in Proz Subtitler's Pool. Member of ESIST (a leading association for professionals in audiovisual translation).

I am available for a very short translation test (up to 250 words) with deadlines over one week. I also have ready portfolio and references.
REFERENCES & CREDENTIALS
I have certifications, references which I can provide upon request.
PAYMENTS
I have an IBAN account, account in a Russian bank, Transferwise. I am self-employed in Russia and pay taxes on my own.
SCHEDULE & WORKING STYLE
I work daily and I am normally available from 10:00 (CET) to 22:00 (CET).
As a member of professional translation organizations, I translate only to my native language, Russian.
I travel a lot and tend to fly frequently from/to Russia, India, Europe. I have been living, studying and working full-time for several years in Spain, France, Finland, Russia, China and India.
It is rare that I take on urgent projects because my schedule is normally planned one/two months ahead.
Quality always comes first so I proofread my translation the day after it has been completed using QC options offered by various CAT-tools + manual check (self-revision).
For subtitling when there are barely any proofreaders/editors or advanced QC tools, I proofread it twice: in the morning following the day in which the main translation was done; in the morning following the day in which the first proofreading was done. This is crucial for subtitling, hence I do not accept urgent subtitling projects, except those from my key clients.
In my free time, I continue honing my skills in Korean (I have TOPIK1) and German (B2 now) languages.
