A Japanese-born American national with Japanese father and American mother, I am native in both languages. I studied in Japan from elementary to junior high and completed the rest of the education in Massachusetts, US.

I worked for a Japanese NGO for 7 years for which I translated legal documents, localized a website and edited quarterly magazines. By 2012, I started working as a freelance translator mainly in the fields of engineering, law and business.

I'm too often amazed by how far off these languages are translated into each other. They are after all very distant languages with not many true bilinguals. Professionally, I strive to provide translations of higher standards that our globalized society deserves.
