Translation - English Mitsubishi Gas Chemical's share price has continued to slide since March, falling 26% from the year's high. By cutting equity method profits, falling methanol prices significantly impact on earnings per share, but even at current methanol pricing levels the PE remains undervalued. Given that methanol prices now look to be on the verge of bottoming out, the current fundamentals would suggest substantial upside potential in the stock. Having cut our EPS forecast after revising our methanol pricing assumptions, we are lowering our target price. However, we reiterate our BUY rating.

Translation - English Over the past year, we have also conducted a more wide-ranging, penetrating and exhaustive investigation into the non-payment of incidental claims, including extraordinary expenses, and in many cases this revealed the need to make further payments. Resolved not to overlook even a single claim payment in the future, we are strengthening the structure of our claims service department and are setting up a Claims Payment Committee, an advisory body made up of external experts, which will seek the views of third parties concerning the appropriateness of decisions on payment liability. We are also setting up an external Claim Reexamination Request Service to handle customers' objections and complaints.

Translation - English The Danish philosopher and theologian Kierkegaard was an intellectual who had a great love of Mozart. In particular, he praised Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni", composed in 1787 based on the Don Juan legend, as an immortal masterpiece. For Kierkegaard, who had adopted an existentialist position that seeks human nature in a free way of life unencumbered by rationality, the womaniser Don Juan, who lived for lust, and Mozart, who flawlessly worked Don Juan's way of living into a splendid opera, were regarded as ideals, and Kierkegaard worshiped them as human beings of the highest order.

I am a full-time Japanese>English translator and Director of Japan Translate Limited, a UK-based company established originally as a Partnership in 2001 together with my wife Elena Edwards, a translator and interpreter whose working languages are English, Russian, Polish, Belarusian and Ukrainian.
I first became interested in the Japanese language and culture when I had the opportunity to take a Japanese 'taster' at the age of seventeen. I then went on to study Japanese at Cambridge University, graduating in 1994 with a first class honours degree, after which I worked for several years in the reinsurance business, specialising in the Japanese market. This involved frequent trips to Tokyo and first-hand familiarisation with the world of Japanese business. I subsequently worked for the Investor Relations division of Sony Corporation, liaising with European institutional investors in the company across all of its business segments.
I am a qualified Member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (for Japanese to English translation) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, as well as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
