English to Spanish: What is copyleft? Detailed field: IT (Information Technology)
Source text - English What is copyleft?
Let's start with a simplified copyleft definition, based on the one found on Wikipedia:
Copyleft is a strategy of utilizing copyright law to pursue the policy goal of fostering and encouraging the equal and inalienable right to copy, share, modify and improve creative works of authorship. Copyleft (as a general term) describes any method that utilizes the copyright system to achieve the afore mentioned goal. Copyleft as a concept is usually implemented in the details of a specific copyright license, such as the GNU General Public License (GPL) and the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike License. Copyright holders of creative works can unilaterally choose these licenses for their own works to build communities that collaboratively share and improve those copylefted creative works.

Bio
My professional background is in Information Technologies and I also have a Master Degree in Education. A Cambridge First Certificate in English, several T.O.E.F.L. exams and some Proficiency in English courses helped to support my interest in the English Language.
I have always read a lot in English and / or Spanish and in 2010 (Well, the first attempt was made in 1982, with comic magazines such as Batman, Conan the Barbarian, Casper the friendly ghost, Disney and others), I decided to give translation an opportunity as a professional activity in my career.
So in 2010 I began translating all kinds of printed material like manuals, brochures, contracts and others in the following fields:
Tech/Engineering
Business/FinancialLaw/
Home Appliances
Medical
