Bio
I have been a consultant physician and undergraduate medical lecturer for more than 30 years and added a second career in translation just over a decade ago.
I had done volunteer work in translation for several years, mostly for medical colleagues.
I then proceeded to do formal training in translation and have now acquired a significant amount of experience as a freelancer.
The freelance work I do involves translating documents from several different francophone sources (including France, Canada, French Polynesia, Morocco, Guinea and Haiti), as well as monolingual editing of medical texts.
My background in medical training and practice means that I have research tools at my fingertips and the ability to find answers rapidly in all medical and pharmaceutical domains. This enables me to focus, really focus, on quality.
From time to time, however, I enjoy the challenge of translating non-medical material, but regardless of the subject matter, I approach all my assignments with the same gusto and reliability.
