objekt I think an objekt does not necessarily need to be a building. Object is fine.

Object is used in real estate/development/construction:
"Spatial / geographic information systems (SIS / GIS) enable the spatial locations of objects to be connected to information about those objects. Right, it isn't a building. It's a subway extension. I guess object is fine, though it seems overly literal. I just wanted to make sure that this word is actually used in the field in this way.

agree asptech : Why not indeed? But unless you have some evidence to the contrary, I would advise you to use "building" instead.
