I know this term has been concluded, and my comment is "after the fact", but I believe I just found a more exact translation for this specific copyright issue.
I am a legal, rather than a technical translator, and used "circuit pattern" for a translation regarding the copyright issue mentioned in this question, but I just discovered the right definition in English of the Swedish copyright law for this specific product, according to the Swedish government, and their translation of "kretsmönster i halvledarprodukter" is "topographies for semiconductor products".
