Hello
In sentences like;
Peroperativ mjukvävnadskontaminering [II]
av titanimplantat uppvisade en tendens till
sämre ***inläkning*** jämfört med icke-kontamine-
rade implantat.
what is "inläkning" in English (I understand the word itself). I thought this would be easy to find but I'm beginning to wonder if we have an exact word for this.
Thanks

: This answer makes sense from a bone implant standpoint, because a term containing the "länk" root implies a connection, and "osseointegration" can be considered a type of connection.

Comment: "So this seems to be ok for where bones or teeth are concerned but not for skin or hair transplants/grafts. Thanks all"

Osseointegration derives from the Greek osteon, bone, and the Latin integrare, to make whole.
Discussion
It's true that the word is quite far removed from the Swedish term but I think you may be right.
