Source text - Portuguese Pedro Fleitas González nasceu na cidade de Telde, Grande Canária, aluno directo do actual herdeiro Soke Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi.
Iniciou as suas deslocações ao Japão em 1988, tendo já realizado 53 viagens ao País do sol nascente.
Na actualidade possui a graduação de 15ºDan Shihan em artes marciais da Bujinkan, sendo um dos instrutores do mais alto grau em todo mundo.
Pedro reparte o seu tempo entre o ensino das artes marciais e a sua profissão de terapeuta alternativo, atendendo no seu consultório, espaço coincidente com o do seu Dojo.
Viaja principalmente pela Europa e América do Sul dando cursos, seminários e taikais a grupos de estudantes.
Recebeu a medalha de ouro da Bujinkan em 1991, em Tokyo, e em 1993 recebeu um prémio pelo seu trabalho de divulgação das artes marciais japonesas (escreveu livros e produziu vários Dvd’s didácticos sobre a Bujinkan).
Translation - English Pedro Fleitas González was born in the city of Telde, in the Canary Islands and was a direct pupil of present heir Soke Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi.
He began travelling to Japan in 1988 and has made over 53 trips to the Land of the Rising Sun.
He currently possesses a 15th Dan Shihan in Bujinkan martial arts, and is one of the highest ranking instructors in the world.
Pedro divides his time between teaching martial arts and his profession as an alternative therapist, treating clients at his clinic which is also his Dojo.
He travels mainly throughout Europe and South America, teaching courses, giving seminars and taikais to groups of students.
He received the Bujinkan Gold Medal in 1991 in Tokyo and an award for his work promoting japanese martial arts (he has written books and produced several instructional DVDs on Bujinkan).

My qualifications include a BA Honours Degree in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies with Subsidiary French awarded from Kings College, University of London, a Post-graduate Diploma in Translation from the Institute of Linguists, London, and a Business Administration Post-graduate Course with Spanish.
