Experienced (more than 29 years) translator, editor and proofreader from English to Italian, primarily in technical fields. I started working on software documentation and then I specialised in software localisation. I worked as translation project manager as well and therefore I know how to handle translation projects from the beginning to the end. I have a large experience with CAT tools (especially Trados Studio) and also with some DTP tools (mostly Indesign).
Alongside the activity of a professional translator I worked on some external projects for non-profit associations.
I performed editing, graphics and DTP services for the publication of the tourist guide ‘Routes of Peace and Nonviolence in Padua’ (now even available as an app for Android smartphones).
I did the Italian translation and the DTP work for the publication of the Italian version of the comic book ‘Martin Luther King and the Montgomery Story’, now included in the catalogue of the United States Library of Congress.
I designed and performed all the project management and the supervisory work for the publication of a play-book" called ‘10 occasioni per diventare nonviolenti’ (‘Ten opportunities to become nonviolent persons’).
