Bio
My interest
in Medical and Pharmaceutical content started in high school, when I chose an
orientation in Biological Sciences for my diploma. In Argentina, which is my
native country, this orientation focuses on Organic Chemistry, Anatomy and Biology,
as it is designed to prepare students to get admitted into Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, and other related career paths.
The walks
of life took me on a different path after finishing high school, though, and I
decided to pursue a Teacher Training Programme in order to become a Teacher of
English as a Foreign Language. The four years I completed on this programme
allowed me to master different Educative theories and their lingos, while also
leaving me a great passion for learning and self-improvement.
Later on, I
went on to pursue a Technical, Scientific and Literary English Translator degree. After getting my BA, I decided to translate exclusively into Spanish,
because, as that is my mother tongue, I can guarantee the quality of my
translations with certainty. I am constantly taking courses to update my grammar
knowledge and improve my correction skills in order to provide a better service
for my clients.
This year (2024) I completed a Masters' degree in Medical translation while completing my second year as a full-time translator for a Cryptocurrency exchange (bet you didn't see that coming). Times and global economy are changing, therefore I like to keep myself updated and also specialize in current blockchain technologies in order to keep my options open in the face of that change.
As for what's next? I plan to pursue a degree
in International Review of Spanish Texts in the near future, and I'm also considering a course on SEO, in order to better supplement my current knowledge.
If you think
